Description
Looking for value of a Buffet and matching side table or cabinet. I believe they are from the 10 930s or the 20's but not positive. They were my grandmothers and the house id being sold and looking for a price to sell them for. They are both in good condition. dark stain but not sure what type of wood they are made from. Dont seem to be oak because they are not real heavey. Could not find any information on the pieces.
Re: Antique Buffet
You are correct in the dating, most of these date from before World War Two. These sets tend to be a mix of antique styles such as Gothic and Jacobean Revival with a Art Deco style spin on it. Sadly demand for sets like this is currently very modest, a result of the Baby Boom generation downsizing. Currently whole suites. including tables and chairs often sell at auction for under $800.00
