Re: Antique doll
This little baby is made of pressed pressed sawdust. It was then dipped into a hard coat base paint, and finally hand painted the hair and facial features. The finished product is commonly referred to as composition. These dolls were made from the late 1920's through the depression era of the 1930's and into the 1940's. It is one of many which were mass produced in this time. In today's market they sell between $10-$35 depending on condition.
