Large dining table

Profile picture for user shall5867

Description

This dining room table is 4 feet wide and in length is 48" to 76 inches long.  There are two 14 inch wide leaves.  It is 30 inches high.  It may possibly have been Amish made and is said to be mahogany.  It is very, very heavy.  There are 4-6 chairs which are very heavy and do not entirely seem to match and have tags stating they were made in China.  The table has no marking I could find.

Any information would be helpful

This looks like a composite of two different tables?

I am starting to think that this table base and table top were not originally together.  Would love to know if anyone else sees this. The coloring is different and I am having trouble matching up the design to the top except for the corner grooves on table that somewhat match the center post of base.
