French Provincial Dining Room Set

Profile picture for user Lovejoy
By Lovejoy, 30 November, 2015
Accurate Description of Item
One Mid Century French Provincial Dining Suite
Appraiser Remarks
The style of your suite is indeed what's referred to as "French Provincial", a simplified version
of 18th Century Louis XV furniture. This style was extremely popular, produced during the
turn of the 19th Century, the 1930's and again in the 1960's. Furniture of this style was produced by nearly every major North American furniture manufacturer, without a label determining a maker is difficult.

The style is not as popular as it once was, but has most recently been revived as "French Country" and is still in production as both French Country and French Provincial. Currently values for comparable suites are quite modest, at auction we see them often go at auction for less than $500.00, we'd retail a comparable suite for less than $1500.00.
Estimated Value
$1000.00- $1500.00
