Contents, Story of the great conflagration ; special articals by Govenor Pardee, Gen. Frederick Fuston, Dr. David Starr Jordan, Hon. Author R. Briggs, Professor Alexander G. McAdie and others.
The nib says "Aikin Lambert & Co. No.3" and just below that (on the pen body) it says "Solid Gold A.L. & Co."
The body of the pen is approx. 6 inches long, with half of it being an ornate design of leaves with a winding ribbon going around it. It is a very slender pen.
It is also in a vaded blue (velvet?) case, which I believe may be the original case, based on the fading of the color.

This whole set was given by my great grandfather to my great grandmother as a wedding present in the early 1900s. We arent' sure if the set was purchased in the states, or somewhere in Italy and brought with them when they immigrated. Some of the pieces aren't in the best shape, I am hoping to have them restored eventually. I am really curious as to what "style" of furniture it is, where it may have been made and of course, if it is worth anything. My husband thinks its junk and doesn't want to invest anything in upgrading it, so hopefully it will be worth it!
Painting of an arch. Unreadable inscription and second signature on back. Actual painting measures 9"x6.5" while the paper board measures 13"x 10.5". Original price of 85.00 marked on back with a foreign currency symbol.Â

I really don't know much of anything about this ship besides that it's been around me for atleast 26 years. It is VERY dusty but I'm afraid to clean it off because I don't want to break anything and not sure what I can use that won't damage the paint. It's in excellent shape with the exception of the dust build up. I don't even know if this is worth anything, but someone mentioned to me that they thought it was. Any information about this ship would be helpful.Â
Set of 6, 9" botanical porcelain plates, They have a green border and gilt pierced rim. The botanical designs appear to be decals that have been finished by hand painting the prominent features. On the reverse of the plates is the number 8 with what appears to be a 5 or 9 spaced with a point ie:5.8 5.9 (see pictures).
