elephant skin with BUDA (unknown Buda) engraved with ink and carved out. I would also like to know The Name of this Buda as well as the pieces value. One side is colored ink and the other side is just the skin of elephant.
There's nothing fancy about this piano - very basic. A few scratches but none that cannot be buffed out. Hasn't been tuned in over 15 years. I'm pretty sure the keys are made out of ivory.Â
60" wide x 48" deep x 30" high
Top is 1-3/8" thick, veneered
Drawers are solid wood, dovetailed front & back
One main drawer has "No. 943" stenciled in ink with letters 2" high on the bottom
Sheet metal panels are fastened to the bottom of the drawer cases
Condition: Top is well worn with many water stains but no major damage
Drawer pulls have been replaced
Finish is original

I believe this is an old, brass milk jug. It needs to be polished - but is in good condition. I have three photos of this item - but was not able to insert them. When I click on the tree icon - it does not provide the icon next to URL for me to pull in the photos from my computer.  Â
This was a gift given to my family. It is numbered 770 and according to the certificate with the cup there were 1000 made. The certificate says that it was "mouth blown and hand cut after an authentic utility form of the 17th century. The Stem has been formed as a baluster (hollow stem). The hand engraved vignette displays the signet of Bavaria. This strictly limited edition numbers 1000 pieces."
