I researched pics of old chairs and this one appears to be from the early 1800s. I have cleaned off the decades of old paint and dirt and stained it with red mahogany.

I purchased these chairs off a facebook online site
It's what's called a "Boston Rocker", a style that's been widly reproduced since the 1970's. The originals were all painted and decorated with stencilled designs. Most of the originals date from the 1840's. They peaked in value back in the 1980's, but demand and values for them have tumbled since the late 1990's. Today we see them go at auction for less than $100.00.
