I don't know much as it was recently given to me by people I've never met prior to the day if pick up. In my eyes it's beautiful! I was going to fix it up and sell it but somebody told me I should get it looked at first. I thought I was a very good idea hence the reason I'm here. The varnish has worn mostly off throughout unit. The wood is solid and very hard and strong. It has dovetail drawers (tiny triangles about 4 per drawer) so small in fact it's I wonder the drawers are still together. It has two very large drawers and two smaller ones. The unit smells amazing when you open a drawer, sort of a cinnamon aroma, that being the only way I could describe it. The pull handles are some sort of fruit shaped (fig, walnut?). It has slats that hold it together in the back of the unit. It has keyhole on every drawer which appear to have worked if I had the key. I have yet to find a stamp or model number or anything whatsoever as far as writing is concerned on the unit at all. I really apologize I did give you all the information that I could think of and that I saw from looking at it quickly myself. Personally after some research last night I believe it's from Victorian era. However I am not at all a professional when it comes to antiques or anything really LOL. Whatever it story, wherever it's from or whatever era it is from I am very interested to find out ! I thank you in advance :)
