Description
I inherited these drawers when I bought my house in rural Victoria, Australia, about 10 years ago. They were tucked away in the back of the shed and because they're so heavy, they've stayed there ever since.
The frame and drawers are made of steel and what appears to be the original hardwood top is in very good condition under a poorly applied laminate overlay. There are no sides, and it would appear that there never has been.
I'm interested to know the age, purpose and value of these drawers as I've never come across anything quite like them.
Re: Antique industrial steel drawer cabinet
Values for office cabinets like this in rough condition tend to have modest values as the cost of restoration often exceeds the value of a comparable one in good condition. We see cabinets like this go for less than $75.00 at auction.
Re: Antique industrial steel drawer cabinet
I love this cabinet! I live near San Francisco, and have see cabinets like this listed for $800+ in antique shops, especially with that kind of patina and age showing. I'd take it home in second if I could afford it (lol)
