It's a "pot"? that appears to be silver. It's roughly 10.5 inches tall/7.5 inches deep/11 inches wide. The bottom is stamped Gorham, under Gorham it's E P with an "anchor symbol inside a shield symbol" in between the letters E P, under all of that its stamped YH 343.
