Johnson Bros. Royal Ironstone China Square Bowl

By jdm63, 1 January, 2016
Description

I have a nine inch square Bowl  Its top side is roundish square with rounded corners.    It is blue pastel in color with seemingly watermark inlay. that looks like its the pattern look at manufacturing.

the outside of the bowl is like a sea shell pattern or scalloped look.  and the underside it has the trademark for Johnson Brothers England,  with the Lion/Unicorn Trademark Stamp.

I have searched and searched for this particular Bowl and have found nothing identical other than a similar one with  floral design and brownish coloring with the stamp totally different.

the only thing close I  have found as per dating is on a write up of the Johnson Brothers early days  and I feel this dish is dating back to some of thier first creations.   Id love help knowing for sure and perhaps the monetary value of this dish

it does have one minor chip out of the corner on underside of the piece  not really to bad at all for the age. There are no cracks anywhere.
