Alfred Meakin was a well known mass producer of earthenware and ironstone pottery, most pieces like this date fromthe 1930's through 50's. Sadly values for such dinnerware have been in decline , a result of downsizing Baby Boomers and estate clearances of their parents generation flooding the market. Large sets now often sell for under $200.00 at auction.
