Evidence of wear and tear. S-curved roll top. Solid wood but not sure what kind. Medium brown in color. The drawers that look like individual small drawers are actually large combined drawers so visually it looks like there are 4 smaller drawers on each side but there are actually 2 large drawers on each side with one long and thin drawer in the middle. The knobs and pulls seem like they would be brass but I'm not sure. I haven't found a makers mark yet. There is an imperfection of that center thin drawer in that it's not perfectly centered in its space but it works perfectly, making me think it was manufactured that way. There is a little shelf in the back, under the roll top and the too of the desk is flat.
