Practical Cake and Confectionery Art; Pra-Ca-Coa Best and Largest Baker's and Confectioner's Book in the World

Description

This book is a 4th Edition Vintage Large copy of the Book "Practical Cake and Confectionery Art," by J.M. Erich Weber published in 1921 in Chicago. This book is written in English. Recognized as a comprehensive baker's and confectioner's guide with highly detailed cake decorating and confectionery techniques. This is not a recipe book, rather it is book designed to teach and inspire by displaying a wide array of color pictures featuring Pastry Decor Ideas, Buttercream Cake designs, Poured Fondant Cake Designs, Petits Fours, Tea Cakes, Tea Cookies and so much more. Each picture is numbered for reference and given an explanation or name on the adjacent page.

This copy shows significant wear on the spine. In fact, the spine is missing and the pages are exposed. The front cover is completely detached from the book and the back cover is missing a corner and very thin and frail. The first two pages of the book are not attached to the spine and both are very thin and show extreme wear around the edges. None of the pages have writing or highlighting on them. All of the pages are still firmly attached to the spine. (See Pics for close-up reference) This wear and tear is common for heavily used kitchen books from this era. These original hardcovers still hold value for their historical charm.
