From an estate auction 2 yrs ago at Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Presumably inspired by 10th Century ‘The Night Banquet of Han Xizai’. Cover Chinese characters say “Fine Collection of Night Banquet Paintings” according to Google Translate. Is on a delicate fabric (silk?)… Age toning all around. No evidence of repairs. The folded ‘scroll’ measures 13’ x 10.75”, hardboard ‘covers’ are 11”x9.5”. 2 red stamps which may be artist signature are difficult to read. Back of the ‘scroll’ has no markings. After 2 years of research can find nothing online about this specific piece.
