Description
Shadow box containing a bone (or some composite) carving of a sailing ship with gold painted highlights on a grey wool background. The brass plaque (picture included) reads Flying cloud 1850. The back has a sticker saying Turner Wall Accessory (picture included). The frame (or more specific wood box) would appear to me to be walnut or possibly mohoggany with a glass front. The back also has a signiture (see picture).

Re: Flying Cloud
I have one exactly the same as this one. What would be the best way to sell it? Was it ever appraised? I see one on eBay for $99 and I would never sell mine that cheap.
Thanks
Re: Flying Cloud
These are not that old or valuable. Turner Wall Art was made by the Turner Manufacturing Company. The company was based in Chicago and mass produced a wide variety of modestly priced decorative items until they went out of business in the the 1970's. At auction shadow boxes by them often sell for under $100.00.
Re: Flying Cloud. .
I have one just like it, I bought it at a storage locker sale, for 40 dollars. I took it apart Because i was curious of what it could be made of. I'm Sorry to say, But it's made out of plastic. I like mine, And to me it was worth 40 dollars.
