I'd say find someone asian or a museum or appraiser who works in these things and would know what the pictures signify or know the language. Open it up and see what is inside. Could be valuable. This is not exactly a common practice for housing writing nowadays and has not been common for a long time. The center piece I noticed is religious. There are various animals shown in it as well. If you really want to find out more about it, take it to people who would know about the culture it came from and its history.
