LeFils Paris Opera Glasses

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Good
Description

Antique LeFils Paris opera glasses. Genuine mother of pearl inlay on the eye pieces and on the fold up handle. Around the eye pieces and the top part of the fold up handle is brass finish with a four-leaf clover looking design(I know there's a name for it, I just can't think of it. See pictures.). The bottom half of the handle is mother of pearl with a flower design carved into it. There is a small sliding piece in the middle of the handle to keep it from folding back up when you have it unfolded. All the opera glasses I have looked up have a round handle, but the opera glasses I have have a flat handle. The piece that turns to focus the lenses is in good working condition. LeFils Paris is printed on both of the eye pieces. You can see out of it pretty clearly. The brass is a little dull, but nothing a good polishing can't fix. There are minimal scratches and flaws to the piece.

Spoon Carved Hutch HELP!

Category
American Furniture
Description

I have a hutch that has been passed down for many years,  I was told it is spoon carved but have no idea what that means or what it is worth.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am moving out of town and was offered $250 for it.  Just wondering what a fair price is.  Thanks in advance!

1940's Hekman corner table w/ brass fixtures

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

This is a gorgeous corner table designed and manufactured in Grand Rapids, Michigan by the highly respected Hekman furniture company in the early 1940's. Their slogan was "Hekman - Tables of Merit" - and the slogan still holds up today with this gorgeous corner end table. Honestly - this table outshines any other piece of furniture in my home. It measures 30" x30' (the main part of the table top). The upper curved level measures 21" deep at the widest place and 9" deep at each end. The first level is 17 1/2" from the floor and the 2nd level adds an additional 9". It has the original brass lion head harware (decorative handles) and a classic sweeping mid century feel. This table is the real deal - before the danish and minimalist mid century furniture took a turn for tacky. That said I have no idea how much it's worth or the exact date on it
