This item is believed to be a 1940s era marionette stage or theater. The set comes with a stage with for distinct holes for the four yellow poles. It also comes with a top cover that I believe hangs from the four poles(last picture). The set also came with what looks like an animal cage for the marionettes and wheels that look like they are connected to the cage in some way. Lastly there is a board first pictured that came with the set along with a ladder made with rope and blue wooden boards. The final items im not quite sure how they belong to the set, i've have been doing tons of research trying to locate the answers. Any and all information is qreatly appreciated thank you for taking the time to read this.
This coffee table is all Hand Carved, which took 3 years to do. It is solid Oak. It has the Harley Davidson carved in the front and on the top at both ends. It stands 18 inches x24x69.
This has great sentimental value to me although I doubt very much in hard cash. I have 3 daughters and 1 daughter-in-law and dont know who to leave it to (I am 83 so must do it soon) and would appreciate having some idea of its vaule.
It is sewing box that I personally made as an apprentice joiner and gave to my then girl friend (subsequently my wife of 57 years until her death in 2008). It is made of mahogany, the main box is constructed by means of secret dove-tails and the lid of separate pieces mitred together. It contains a separate tray for things like needles etc. I gave it to her on her 18th birthday which was on 4th October 1948 so it is now 64 years old and was in constant use throughout her life and never required any maintenance. I suppose this would at least qualify it as unique?
The photograph held under glass on the underside of the top is of myself and my wife (at that time of course my girl friend) taken during the summer of 1948 and has always been there. To protect our identities I have obliterated our faces by means of a cut out and I hope you have no objection to this.
As I previously said I have no expectations of any great value, but I would appreciate some indication of what it might bring at auction.
This is a black lacquer vase with mother of pearl art work. I'm not sure of the material it is made of. It seems to be a porous material. It is black and very difficult to determine even with light. It could be some type of wood but my thought is a clay of some kind. Tag on bottom sais "Made In Korea"
