I have in my possesion a wedding present of a deceased family member, and as it is going to glorified waste on display at my home, I wish for an appraisal for when we donate it to Goodwill, that we might be able to get them a reasonable return to ask for.
The complete set is thus;
8 Tea/Coffee mugs
8 Saucers
8 Salad Plates
8 Dinner plates
8 Soup Bowls
1 Larger bowl (not sure of it's intented use)
1 Serving plate (again, not sure)
1 Teapot
1 Sugar Pot
1 Cream Jug
1 Pair of Salt and Pepper shakers (missing corks/stoppers)
The paint is in near/mint condition, there's no damage to the glaze, there are gold rims and stripes all over that are in fine shape; all in all, they're rather well-preserved. I'm not sure of the age of them, or their make, I believe they are either China or Porcelain, but they are definitely as old as the 1980's (Their marriage and gifting date)
They have proper markings of the Lion's crest and two roses that look hand-painted, along with the "COTTAGE ROSE" and "WOOD & SONS ENGLAND" markings. In my own snooping, I've found that it doesn't have the "IRONSTONE" marking, but I'm not entirely sure what that would mean either way. The material itself is also embossed with "WOOD'S" and "ENGLAND" markings.
As I said, I'm simply looking for a roundabout date, and a dollar figure for donation to Goodwill.
Thank you very much!
