This is a beautifully finished solid wooden bench made from wood from the Shipwreck of the F.W. Wheeler in Lake Michigan in 1893. The bench was made by E. Leet woodworking and has a plaque embedded with that information. It's 55.5" wide, 14" deep, and 20" tall.
I received this from my mom who had it many years, and I've had it for at least 25-30 years. The little cap tip back to put tobacco in. I'm not sure on the wood it's made of. I maybe briar as many pipes were made of it . I'm just not sure if pipes this old were made of it. Any comments appreciated. Ken 1400
