Anchor biscuits City Transport toy

Category
Antique Toys
Condition
Good
Description

Old style double decker city bus with Larkin & Newton Anchor Biscuits on the top level and City Transport on the bottom. Harry's Toys carved in the wood on the top back.

Has hard rubber tire, red painted body, green background to the signs. In very good used condition, some slight wear on the tires.

Is about two and half feet long by a foot and half high.

I just got it randomly at a garage sale because it looked like a super cool toy...

Is identical to the attached photo, but that isn't mine, its just what it is.

Landstrom Furniture-"the Redshaw" Bedroom suite.

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

The story of the bedroom set is on the "The Redshaw" story cardboard pic that is attached.  This is a beroom suite that was mine when I was a child and I am looking for an appraisal..

I dont know when it was made but I do have the original cardboard that tells the dimensions and what wood each piece is made of.

This seems to be a one of a kind. I cant seem to find anything online about it.

If anyone has any news about this suite, I would be so appreciative. Mom tried for many years before she passed to find information but she never could seem to find anything about it either.

The suite was made by the Landstrom Furniture Corporation in Rockford, Illinois. This is supposed to be a Thomas Chippendale Jr set.

Please help.

Oriental Rug

Category
Rugs and Carpets
Condition
Excellent
Description

This is an oriental rug I purchased at an estate auction.  I don't know anything about the item at all, but the previous owner was an extremely wealthy individual with an extensive art and antique collection so I thought there might be some value in the rug.  All the other items in the auction were high end expensive items including many paintings valued at over $20k and expensive furnishings.

The rug is 31" wide and 93" long. The condition appears like-new, no visible wear, stains, discoloration, etc. - to my novice eye.  I don't see any signs of repairs.  The detail pictures attached are reflective of the overall condition.

I know very little about these rugs so any information you can give me - origin, design, machine or hand made - is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Mike
