6 inch square ivory inlay trinket/jewelry box. weighs 2 to 2.5 pounds. Depicts oriental people in the forest. Carving is on the sides also. No hinge, velvet lined.
This is a pair of living room chairs once owned by my grandparents. The upholstery appears to be original and is in fair condition, thought it does need cleaning. The wood frame appears to be mahogany. The paw feet are worn. The bottom fabric and burlap that secures the seat springs on one of the chairs has come loose and needs to be repaired.
I am interested to know your opinion on the value of these chairs individually and as a pair.
I have 5 crystal birds, about 2 &1/8th in. long. Each has a sliver of melted gold leaf "floating" inside the glass. They are secured in a box that resembles a book. The box exterior is lined with painted cloth and bares a white strip of paper with the Japanese symbols (translated) "Glass Artisan". On the bottom edge of the box is a small paper tag with the letters, M I - 3A.
The interior of the box is white satin where the birds rest in small slots.
I would like to know how much each bird could sell for, and the box. Or as an entire set.

escellent to very good condition like it never was read. no damage marks at all front pages were the only ones turned. and not wide open. binding is solid.
