I acquired this old lamp, and was considering refinishing it. Then wondered if it was good or bad to change it, and worth doing anything to. It is not very attractive to me, but , it is interesting. Any idea of its worth, if any?
Waltham pocket watch serial #610057, hunter style case, I believe. Engraved with a bird and flora on one side, bird and either a church or schoolhouse with flora on the other.
It is a family heirloom, from my great grandmother, born 1888. The watch was worn for a portrait done of her in 1904.
On the ring around the crown is engraved AW and something else I am unable to see.
It is a small bowl, approximately 3-4 inches in height, and about the same in width. It has a lid, and is white with brown trim. There are strawberries and leaves painted all around the bowl. There are no markings or a name or anything on it. It is very old cermaic though, you can tell by the noise it makes when you put the lid back on.
