I have a box of Six Princess House Contemporary Vine Leaf Glass Individual Domed Cavier Covered Dishs. I believe they are from 1988, all six are in perfect condition. I was wondering what the value of these individually is, as well as a set of six? Thanks
The number on it is 993467 and has Patents: Oct 3 1871, Sept 7 1875,Sept 25 1877, June 11 1878, April 22 1879, Aug 26 1879
It is 2 drawer on each side and one long drawer in middle. The top cover we have the key. There is an Accessory Tin with accessories in it, 6 extra bobbins, oil can and the original booklet is there. I bought it from the family of the original owners.
All I know about this piece was that it was bought in hawaii in the early 80's for $1800.00
We were told that it was made by a famous asian craftsman, but we do not know his name. We cannot find a signature, but we don't know where to look for it.
I have been searching the web, but have not found one that was hand painted like this one.
It has a small crack on the left side and two scratches on the right, and it appears that someone tried unsuccessfully to fix it. Other than those it is really good condition.
Some of the figures were carved and placed inside, while others appear to be part of the original wood. We bought it at an estate sale because it was so unique looking.
We are interested in selling it, but are not sure what it's worth. Anyone have any ideas?
I bought these in Paris at a flea marked 10 years ago. I thought they were pretty. They appear to be hand painted and have fun raised flower and butterfly designs on front. They both have a neat glazing that looks like both vases were "dipped" in several different colors. They're not in the best of shape as each one has a couple of places where a raised part has chipped off, but I still love them. They have what appears to be a "46" on the bottom of each one and a mark of some sort that is hard to make out. Check out the pics. Any info or opinions greatly appreciated!
