Not on the piece located on the bottom, I have several pieces including plates, cups saucers, salt and pepper shaker, butter dish, gravy boat. Platter, I was wanting to find out the value of the set. They are all in excellent condition
Would like an evaluation and appraisal for this square bowl.
I cannot find an exact match to this square bowl on the net, but it appears to be an Chinese 1840 import but i am not an expert. Any expert opinions on this piece would be greatly appreciated.
9.5 inches across and aprox. 4.25 inches deep at the bottom middle of the downward curve to the bottom of the bowl.
1 chip on inside rim. No other cracks, nics, scratches can i see. Gold on rim is worn in some places.
Need some help identifying the origin of this piece. So an evaluation can be made. Cant find anything concrete in my solo research. Really beautiful piece and their is some identifying information on it, but i cant find anything similiar on the internet. May be due to my inexperience with this type of antique.
Their is a signature in gold at the bottom it is "G Amau or Amall" thier is a bit more to it (maybe one letter) but it is covered by the plate hanger.

I have solved the mystery of the signature it is "G. Amaury". I have found 3 works by him 2 are furniture and the other is a pair of vases. Other then that I can not find any information about the artist other then his works are 19th century and french.
Reluctant to remove the plate hanger it is wired in pretty tight. I dont want to cause any damage. Its survived this long in immaculate condition dont want to be the one to change that. But i will if necessary.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me if you need more pics.
P.S. their are no identifying marks on the back.
All their is the portrait, signature, and the symbol on the front to help with identification. Plate/charger diameter is 20"
