1st I have to say I really don't know much about furniture ..
So I found this chair ..
I liked the style .. then noticed the nail heads (which seemed old) and the price was right. : )
When I got it home I pulled the staples and fabric (pillow case) off the bottom (which I know someone added) .. to my surprise I found springs. + the wood I guess may be mahogany and the saw marks - I assume are from hand saws ..
This is a Japanese Imari style bowl that appears older than many we have seen locally. It has multiple base rings that we do not regularly see. It has flowers, trees, what appears to be fruit, scroll motifs and other design elements. We do not know what the inscription in the center states. it seems to be blue underglaze with iron red, orange, green and pale peach overglaze. The colors are very bright. There is no maker mark. The outer sides feature a very nice floral and leaf motif and there may be some inscription in the marks on the underside. It weighs 2 lb. 2 oz., measures 9-7/8 inches in diameter and is 2-1/2 inches tall. We would certainly appreciate any thoughts as to where made, maker, age/era, description of medium, value etc. Thank you for any feedback you can share.
Reddish terracotta vase. Definitely handmade because of its ruggedness outside and inside. It's a buried find when clearing an ancient overgrown lot.
Needs professional cleaning due to being buried for unknown years. Has a couple small nics around top and plenty patina due to being in its outdoor environment for many years.
All information about this vase is appreciated.
13.5" tall
34" circumference at widest area
6.25" circumference top
5.5" base circumference
Seems to be a print of Don Manuel by Goya. It is in a decorative frame. Stamp on the back reads “Product of Reliable, Newark, NJ SZEZ 5049”. I found it and want to know if it’s worth anything. Read these are decorative paintings sold between 1950-1970 through Macy’s.
This was my grandmother’s. I really don’t know much about it except that it’s Dresden Lace and is titled “The Golden Wedding”.
Obviously the little label has a broken corner but other than that it seems unscathed. If anyone could give me any information about it I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,
Connie Jo
We need an appraisal of this item. If we could have the appraisal done for one singular lamp and then another for the pair that would be wonderful. Thank you!!
