Decanter

Category
Glass
Condition
Mint
Description

I recently purchased this free blown glass decanter. It has impressions/denting in the top glass plug and the vase has some impressions or denting...possibly tool marks? The plug is glass and the the top of the plug is scalloped but the pinches are different sizes. There is a rough pontil mark on the bottom. The decanter approximately 11" with the plug and 7 3/4 without the plug. The width of the base is 3" and the widest part of the decanter is approximately 7" in width. The glass is a strange but pretty smoky gray/green and when I hold it up to a light, I can see through it. When I look through it in the light, I see hues of amber.  There are no chips or cracks that I can find.  Any help with identifiers and value would be greatly appreciated.

Bedroom Set - White Furniture Mebane, NC

Category
Furniture
Condition
Mint
Description

Hello,

I grew up in the house since birth and always remember the bedroom set so I’m thinking they got it in the early 60’s. In 1999, they had the entire set refinished for $1,700 to antique white.  Not sure if that hurts the value but it looks gorgeous. I have attached some photos.  I wanted to get an idea of the value of the set.

Thank you,

A.D. Greer Painting

Category
Paintings
Condition
Good
Description

This is an A.D. Greer painting that my parents have had hanging in their house for the last 30 years. I believe it is oil on canvas. It is a beautiful rendering of a pond with some trees and a bush with a cloudy sky as the backdrop. The frame looks like antiqued wood and is in good condition. There are 3 small imperfections which I have tried to show in the pictures. They look to be small scratches in the paint but overall the painting is in good condition and was always a wonderful addition to my parent's home. The main reason my parent's bought art was to help artists that were struggling or trying to make a name for themselves so it is most likely some of the artist's earler work.
