A pair of erns/decorative vases with matte glazed ceramic in cornflower blue and white with grey decoration. Each earn/vase is unique, with a hand drawn classical figure in Roman togas.
Purchased these cute little chairs from the grand daughter of the owners (her grandparents, who lived near Boise Idaho and in Sisters OR (near Bend)). They are small: 35” tall, seat height is 18”, width is 14.5”
We are guessing at the date that they were made...based upon research of West-Rest Furniture in Boise ID which opened in 1936, and then were made by (?name of company?) in Bend, OR that purchased West-Rest in 1938. We do not know how long the chairs were produced in Bend, nor the estimated date of the chairs. The designer was a Mr. Kruse.
Originally mounted on a very nice mahoghany plaque, I used to think it was a fountainhead, however now I believe it was a very large doorknocker as there are squared notches on each side of his mouth.
I have a coffee pot, cream or sugar container, 8 cups and saucers and a platter. I cannot find the name of the pattern anywhere. I believe it is from 1961 or 1962. It’s white with birds and vases. The coffee pot is signed by Bjorn Wiinblad and is stamped Studio Linie. Can anyone tell me the pattern and/or the approximate value?
