Antique frame. Lithograph states Morris & Bendien, Inc. NY in bottom left hand corner. No artist signature or date. Portrait from thigh height up of Victorian Lady in red gown with dark hair. She is holding the last few inches of beads that are hanging from front of gown. Gown is trimmed in beige/light green colored material. The background seems to be of some bridge type structure.
I bought these at a garage sale, I collect beads from the fur trade era and saw that these beads were from that era. The beads are greasy yellow, the red ones are white hearts, and the metalic beads are metal. The leather is a brain tan, and the sinew in the bead work is real sinew. I think they might be Souix, I really don't know much more than that about them.
Montour china cabinet. Back label reads Manufacters of Dining Room and Library Suites. No.172, Montoursville PA. I would like to find out the age and value of it.
Found a set of oil on canvas art in the attic that used to hang in one of my mother's homes. She doesn't remember where they were purchased, but it was in the Chicago area. Cannot read all of the artists, but "Gillbert-Williams 6-19-81" is handwritten on the back of the canvas flap over the frame.
