This dressing table with a large round mirror that was handed down from my grandmother. It had a drawer taken, and I need an apprasial for possible restitution. It is part of a three piece set. The table was on display at my late fathers home, so its a little dusty. Please disregard the baskets.

CHIKARAMACHI Hand-painted, Made in Japan server tray (not sure what you call this piece). Looks to be made of china or porcellon. white with flora, rose design, inside walls are a purple crystal-like color. Total piece is round shape. Center is round with 6 rectangle-like pieces with swirl in upper right corners. There is a red stamp on bottom of each individual piece with a crown and 2 leaves and reads; "CHIKARAMACHI, Hand-painted, Made in Japan".
Very fine, thin china or porcelon, 7pcs total being one center round and 6 rectangle-like with swirl in upper, outer right corner of each piece. Hand-painted in white with rose design, crystal-like purple color on inside of rims of each. On the back of each piece there is a red stamp (top to bottom) "CHIKARAMACHI- Hand painted" crown with 2 leaves on either side, "Made in Japan" at bottom.
I did find this information over the internet about this piece: Marked Chikaramachi with a crown and laurel wreath, and the words handpainted and made in Japan, all in red. Chikaramachi is a Noretake mark that was used in the late 1920's and is taken from the porcelain painting factory that was opened by the company on a street called Chikamarachi in Nagoya, Japan in 1928. The factory mark was only used for a very short time.
This tapestry hung on my parents wall all my life until they gave it to me. I will be 30 years old in October 2011 and this item is older than I am. I am not sure its exact age. I have found several replicas online although none match the exact markings of this one. The major difference between this one and the ones I've found online is the border around the edge of the tapestry.
