pure flint progressive pottery

Category
Pottery
Condition
Mint
Description

This is a wonderful utilitarian bowl. I looked up progressive pottery an didn't find very much about it. This peice came out of Ohio and it is quiet rare. 1900 - 1904 perhaps. Museums are digging shards on sight and there is a historical society that speaks of this in a short news paper clip on the internet. Other than that I only know history mentioned in the article. I feel like this is an important peice. I have also seen a bean pot made by this pottery co. on Ebay otherwise this peice is scarce. Can you please confirm the worth of this peice? It would be greatly appreciated because I would like to see this bowl with a collector and it is positively mint. Thankyou

Glazed ceramic ( pottery or china?) ewer

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Excellent
Description

This is a very unusual ewer in very good condition.  It had been at my grandmother's in Ohio until her death in 1976.  Before she inherited it, my great, great uncle had it in his home in Covington KY until his death in 1929 at the age of 94.  He had many lovely things, paintings, Victorian furniture, silver and boxes of books from as far back as 1731.   The design over the entire pitcher is floral and leaves with a scalloped edge on the top.The handle attaches in three places: at the top of the neck,at  the bottom of the neck and again on the bowl.  There are no chips and only one small crack (see 3rd photo) that runs along the handle by the bottom of the neck and under the handle.  The crack does not go through to the other side nor the top.  It is hardly visible.

Bradley & Hubbard Imperial Banquet Lamp (kerosene)

Category
Lamps and Chandeliers
Condition
Excellent
Description

The lamp stand does not have a patent stamped on it anywhere but it does have the abbreviation for "patent applied for" in several places.  The fount has a patent date of August 30, 1892.  The lampstand has B&H stamped on the bottom of the base and also the number 5925.  B&H is also stamped on the fount.  The lamp appears to never have been used.  The wick is unused and there are no black marks on the chiminey.  The globe has beautiful flowers painted on it.  I am not sure of the metal but the bowl that holds the fount looks like nickel because it is almost blue in color.  Also on the stem, is a beatuiful tear drop shaped piece of marble.  Absolutely exquisite.  Might be willing to sell...if it were up to me, I wouldn't but my husband likes money!

Standard Furniture Desk

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Fair
Description

Desk built by Standard Furniture Co., Herkimer ,NY. It has (8) drawers and two pull out writing surfaces. There is a locking system when the pencil drawer is closed and a key lock on the pencil drawer (no key). It is made of black walnut and I am not sure what wood the drawer boxes are made of. There is a logo burned in the bottem of the pencil drawer as well as a serial # type sticker on the right hand inside of the knee area with "The P.G.l.&C." on the bottom and 11-3743 in the center, possibly from a company that had owned it (see photo). It should be refinished as most nicks and scratches are not deep. The two white spots are from my wife's hot coffee mug.
