Antique Italian glass (or crystal?) vase, maybe art deco or nouveau?

Category
Glassware and Crystal
Condition
Mint
Description

I don't know where to start to find more information and value for the vase. It is heavy and thick and made in Italy, it has a very beautiful form and style. It reminds me of Deco or Nouveau. The bottom of the vase says 12 and Italy. I hope by the pictures below you can see exactly what this piece looks like.

Please let me know if you think you can estimate a value for this piece!!! Thank you!

Diptych Compass/Sundial

Category
Maps, Charts, and Nautical
Condition
Excellent
Description

Diptych compass/sundial found in attic. No history known.

Carved from fruitwood. Fully functional and in excellent condition. On the upper left interior, is a list of cities and numbers. In the upper right interior, there is a 'metal' ball attached to a string. The ball rests in a circular pivot also covered with metal when closed. (this may be a barometer of some sort?)

The lower interior displays a sundial with an ornate sun pictured in the center surrounded by decorative laurels. The compass is set directly below the sundial.

I am wondering if there is any way to date this item. I would like to know what the function of the "ball and string" might be. Also, what if any market value it may have.

Mahogony dining room suite antique

Category
Furniture
Condition
Mint
Description

This is a solid mahogany dining room set made by the Canadian Company The Robert Simpson Ltd. Furniture division.  The company later became Simpson's then Simpson's Sears. This dining room set had black leather chairs that were filled with horsehair. This entire set has been totally professionally restored to a mint condition.

I am wondering what year this set would have been made and the value of the set today. Robert Simpson  began his retail company in 1877.  I am not sure when the catalogues were first printed

1934-35 Carl Eickhorn presentation bayonet

Category
Militaria
Condition
Excellent
Description

This etched bayonet or short sword is in very nice condition, there is no rust or pitting though some discoloration does appear on the steel. It has a bone or stag handle adorned with three (3) brass acorns and what appears to be hooves for the hilt? Also what looks like a shell just ahead of the hilt, all made of brass. Various etchings adorn all sides of the blade, florals, crossed canons, rifles and crossed swords are all plainly visible in the etchings. The scabbard shows alot more age and wear. The stitching has deteriorated and the leather is hard but still maintains the shape nicely. The brass top and bottom have dents and dings. This weapon appears to be of quality steel but is unsharpened.
