Magic Chef Stove

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Poor
Description

I bought my house three years ago.  This stove has been hooked up to a gas line in the basement the whole time.  I never checked to see if it worked.  Who knows it might, an old lady owned it before me and lived in the house 15-20 years.

Stove number 550-A   Serial number 1931

As the pictures show the panels are surface rusted.  The corrosion is building up and it needs a good restoring.

IS THIS WORTH ANY EFFORT?  Does this stove have enough value for someone to buy it from me and restore it?  Or myself to fix it (I work at a body shop and have painted appliances before) and sell it in good condition?  Or perhaps save my time and sell it by weight at the junkyard

Any input would be appreciated.  Thanks
