As noted and has relief pattern on sides repeated four times that might be leaves. Scalloped top edge so as you move around the top it is round/pointed/round/handle and repeat
5 1/2 INCH CREAMER CUP WITH 24 KT GOLD LEAFY INLAY.ALSO HAS NUMBER 1356 ON BOTTOM.I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE NUMBER IS A YEAR OR SIGNATURE AND IF IT HAS ANY RARITY.
It seems to be fairly rare, i have not seen anything else similar on the web other than the example above. It is real heavy duty, weighs about 50 lbs, very sturdy. Can be laid down and used as a chest or stood on one end as a cabinet. Heavy cloth straps on either end. Strong, working claps. I assume the knob is an addition as it would get in the way of stacking but it is very old, the screw seems to be as old as the rest of the hardware on the chest. The paint seems to be original but I am not sure. I am told the gray paint may signify it was used in the Navy. Any further information and an idea of value would be much appreciated.
These are the original adapters to play 45s (45 rpm records) to play 45s on a 33 1/3 record spindle or record player. We have a box of 10, and we also have several 45s with the adapters still in the middle. The backs of the metal adapters have a variation of #C Patent.
