Just purchased this table from a classified ad and can't find it online anywhere. Hoping to get some information on the table, and maybe what the number refers to. Mersman 7411 is branded on the bottom.
I understand this was taken during ww11, and was found in the center of a town inclosed in a glass case. At one time someone said they though it was written in Prussian.
One one side is blue velvet with embroider and dates 1872-1929 and in one corner 1914. The other side shows a Eagle and date of 1914. The Eagle is Embroider.
On the one side I believe the words are: Krieger-Verein and Adelsheim. The other side: Im Sturme Freu and In Treue Fest. The maker is Heidelberger Fahnenfabrik.
If you wish more pictures I can sent them to you. Look forward to your answers.
I found this sled at an estate auction and have not been able to find any information on it. The main reason I liked it so much was because besides the manufacturer printed on the bottom, it has the name of a local store that had been closed for years. Its a small sled 29" long, wood seat with metal runners. The seat has a red design on it with the words Snow Bird. On the bottom it's mark Made by Paris MFG CO South Paris, ME, USA No. 96. It also has Newberry Co. Gouverneur, NY stamped on it. Its in good condition and still has some red paint on the runners.
