Porcelain Pill Box Set in Silk covered box with Ivory latch

Category
Asian Art
Condition
Good
Description

Trying to find out information about what this item is and the worth for a friend that wishes to sell.

This is a set of 8 pill boxes with flowers on them that looks to be done in porcelain over gold?   I can recognize 2 of the flowers.   One box being a Magnolia it looks like and an Iris on another.   These flowers and designs appear to be formed into carved out inserts of the gold itself.

The case is covered in what seems to be silk and has an ivory closing mechanism.
