It is a real oil on canvas. The closest painter I found that is similar to this is an A.T. Nash painting. It was a picture of a hunting dog as well, but Im still not sure if thats the artist. The artists signature is on the right bottom corner and the dog stands at the left. There are no scratches or breaks in the paint.
The Picture was found in a friends grandmothers attic shortly after she passed. Him and I were clearing the attic when we found it against the wall. We then asked his father if he had any knowledge of this print or if he recognized it, which of course he didn't. He then suggested that we ask someone proficent in these matters.
This is an old couple and the man is pruning a plant. The woman is doing needlepoint. There is gold trim around the bottom. I have searched EVERYWHERE and cannot find this or anything that looks like it comes from the same set. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Some of the gold trim on the bottom is fading.
maybe a compote or center piece. it has grape clusters all around bottom and top edges. also has a lot of star or diamond shaped holes around top and bottom edges. maybe could get
