This is a bottle and box of an unopened bottle of doughertys private stock pure rye whiskey bottled in 1930. This is prohibition alcohol used for medicinal purposes only. This box as well as the bottle is both in very good condition.
It's in excellent condition. My husbands father had it given to him by his father who had it given to him by HIS father. On the barrel it has the word Jukar below the words black powder only. At least I think it says that. It also has the number 006931 and the word Spain.
This plate was my great great great grandmother's. I am just wondering if anyone knows the origin or what it is worth. When my Grandma died, an estate auction man came to my Grandfather's and offered my Grandpa several hundreds of dollars for this plate many times. It is now in my possesion. I do not wish to sell it though. The plate was hand painted, but I do not know what type of medium was used to paint it. My Grandma always said the plate was very special. The plate has gold trim on it as well. I have not taken the plate off the wall, I am afraid I will break it and don't know how it is hung... so I don't know if there are any markings on the back.
