Slant Top Desk

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

I believe that this desk is a chippendale reproduction.  (There are only 5 drawers and only one level of drawers at that.)  It was definitely hand made.  There are pencil marks on the bottom of the drawers outlining where nails go.  There are no marks telling who built the desk.  I would like to know approximately when it was made.  I believe it was made out of walnut.

Tin toy truck

Category
Toys
Condition
Good
Description

This tin truck is about 4" long and 3" tall. It has a lever on one side that, when pulled back, winds the rear wheels and it is self-propelled. This feature works perfectly.

On one side it says Shackman, NY 10001 with a copyright symbol.

On the back there is a hand holding up 3 fingers, sitting on a flat base with the letters T.P.S. on it.
