Since this piece did not have the original fabric when purchased, I decided to reupholster in a fabric to match my decor. Just curious to know the era of this settee and estimated value.
This is a Gucci ashtray, I have no idea what time period it is from or what its value is. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it or how much it might be worth?
Thanks in advance for everyone who has helped out?
I am looking for information concerning the name of the style for this particular chest and a for a possible value. I purchased this piece from a local "picker" who obtained it from an estate. There are very minor dings; the key is missing; the cards are stapled inside; the removal inner shelf is intact with no damage; the style/serial # tag is still on the bottom.
I have had this item for about 40 years. I bought it in an antique store along with a marble top wash stand. The dealer stated that the items in his store were shipped from the UK. It is beautifully hand painted in the art deco style. It is unlike any bowl and pitcher set I have ever seen.
I don't know much about this bracelet, but it was definitely handmade from iron or some other heavy dense metal because it does not bend at all. I've never seen another bangle bracelet with this type of clasp/closure before. The little ball or charm hanging off is actually a bell and the designs were deeply engraved by hand (design is not symmetrical). I've researched many vintage jewelry reference books and to from everything I've read, this seems to be from the Arts & Crafts period at the end of the 19th century; maybe even Egyptian Revival. I had it listed on eBay, but I cancelled the auction because I couldn't shake the feeling that I was going to end up selling it for $10, only to see the same one on Antiques Roadshow with an enormous appraisal value!
Any information people may have on this incredibly unique bracelet would be very much appreciated.
Thank you!!
