8.8 in. hand painted Limoges plate was made, according to the markings on the back of the plate, in a factory set up in an old Abbey in Limoges, France. It has a Latrille Brothers Limoges Mark, an oval made from letters Limoges, France with a star in the middle. It also has the markings Old Abbey, Limoges and a triangle with the word Hand Painted in the middle. It is signed by Duval. From my research, these plates were made from 1899-1913. The plate is gold trimmed and is a picture of large grapes or some similar fruit. This plate was either given to me by a dear friend many years ago or I found it at a garage sale. The rim of the backside of the plate is worn a bit and there is a slight indentation on the rim from a plate hanger; otherwise the plate is in mint condition.
