I don't really know anything about this piece. I have had it a long time and just found out that is a pie safe. I would love to find out something more.
I bought these birds in Peru. The birds are sculpted from rocks like: sodalite, serpentine, quartz, jasper, celestine, chrysocolla and others. I have macaws, cockatoos, toucans, and other birds. Average height: 10 in.
I know the retail price is, on average, USD300 in Lima-Peru and Quito-Ecuador.
I sell them on eBay at lower prices. I would like to know what prices I can expect if I sell them at an art fair.
Thank you
I got this silver-colored turquoise bracelet at a Seattle yard sale, where it was priced as costume jewelry, and know nothing of its history. It has absolutely no stamps, marks, or hallmarks. I can say that the metal is not magnetic. This bracelet is fairly stiff and has a heavy feel. It weighs 65 g (2.3 oz) and is 6 cm (2 3/8 inches) across and 5 cm (2 inches) wide at the front.
This is a civil war canteen, wrapped in canvas. On one side of the canvas cover are the initials USA, on the other side is the Division #. It was found with an 1862 Tower Musket Rifle used by the Confederate Army.
