Majolica Cheese Keeper

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Excellent
Description

I saw this item at an historical homestead in Australia. The owner said it had been in the family for years, but didn't know anything else about it. I've searched the web a bit on my own and have seen similar cheese keepers, but none exactly the same. Can anyone tell me about it's make and company history? I'd love to email the lady and tell her about it. Thanks!
