i dont know anything about this jug apart from the glaze inside the jug is crackled so i think it may be old
there are no marks on the bottom to identify it
Looks like copper, but is magnetic. obviously hand made and cut with saw and file. stampings look to made from homemade stamps. semi bowl shape is hand formed.
Glider, platform rocker. Heavy, upholstered, metal spring seat, metal claw feet. Appears to have been re-covered at some point, but done very well. Has anyone seen a chair like this before/have any idea of period or maker? I know it's not 100yrs old or worth a million bucks..lol..just think it's a very nice and unique chair. Would love to find out some more information about it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I repair, refinish, buy and sell furinture. I found this rocking chair at a local auction and picked it up for next to nothing. I have seen a lot of different styles of chairs, but never one quite like this one. I can tell by the way it's made, and the condition of the wood that it is quite old. It is mahogany, and very sturdy. Just wondering if anyone has seen a chair like this one before and could give me any info about it. Thanks.
