A silver or silver plated cup with handle that has raised flowers and plants with 2 birds on the top half of the cup and engraved flowers and plants on the lower half of the cup. On the bottom there is a stamped circle with "MERIDEN B COMPANY" in it and kind of overlapping is another stamped circle with "QUADRUPLE **LATE" in it then "151" stamped below the 2 circles.
We are looking to get the value of this desk. Can anyone give us an idea? We know it is 1800 or 1801, and built by American S.F. Co. we believe in NY? That's about all we know.
My husband bought this at a yard sale for $5 and refinished it as a weekend project. Just curious about it's value and interested in possibly selling it.
Any help and information would be greatly appreciated.
I worked at a sea turtle hospital for three years. A collector of turtle merchandise passed away and donated her life collection of everything turtle-related, of which this Tom Clark Lilibet gnome was enclosed. As you can see in the photos, the gnome is sitting on a turtle, hence the woman's possession of this item. I acquired this after filtering through boxes of the woman's belongings and researched the value, discovering that the MSRP is $1,220.00. After extensive research, I noticed a difference between my gnome and photographs of different gnomes: as seen in the photos, the coin on the left hand side of the image is partially covered by a leaf, whereas in other images of gnomes for sale, it is not. I am questioning whether or not my gnome is real and the others are reproductions, or vice-versa.
