Circa 1913 Widdicomb Armoire/Wardrobe

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

Not sure what kind of wood it is - it is a 1913 Amoire/wardrobe manufactured by the Widdicomb Furniture Co out of Grand Rapids, MI. I have searched the Internet attempting to find a piece like it and cannot locate one. It has the original inspected/varnished and polished ink stamps from the factory on the back of the top drawer and the original sticker in the bottom of the top drawer. Piece has one long scratch on top and smaller scratch on side - it has only been moved twice in 17 years. Finish is on very good condition - I have not done any re-finishing on it since I have owned it. Polished regularly. Any information you can give would be very helpful and much appreciated. You can reach me at [email protected]
