Old wooden trunk.Inside has white paper with blue flowers. Lid contains pictures and what looks to be a place cut out for a mirror. Leather straps on outside of trunk missing. Front contains three locks, broken. Very detailed work on lid and sides. I picked it up at a farmer's market in LaGrange, Kentucky for $25. I don't know the history nor the age. Would be interested in learning more about the trunk and its appraisal.
Solid mahogany, hand carved sculpture. All origional, never re-finished or waxed. I believe the dolphin/head hooks are NOT origional to the piece, and were added many ,many years ago. The carving is exceptional, and very detailed. There is some very minor veneer damage on the base, and a tiny piece
missing from one of the claws. Otherwise, in beautiful condition.
This goauche from Erte is an original in excellent condition. The Goache was purchased sometime in 1999 right after the death of Erte. The reseller was a freind/seller of Erte's works.
