8" silver plate; raised 1" border of plate is embossed with grape vine design depicting buches of grapes, grape leaves, and branches. Detail can be seen on every leaf. The back of the plate carries a stamp with the words "QUADRUPLE PLATE" arcing above a spider web emblem containing a star in the middle with the letter "W" inside of the star. Just beneath the spider web is the stamped number "39" and to the right of the stamp is the number "2773" etched into the plate.
I'm almost sure this is made of solid walnut (versus a dark stain). The chair was newly upholstered when I bought it and the fabric is still in excellent condition. There are a few nicks & scratches from being moved around, but it is still an attractive piece of furniture.
Top Top of sides have pink and purple dyed pieces. Body looks mostly a rope form. Handle unique twisted design. General wear: cracked, frayed pieces, but still good condition.

Very heavy Oak sideboard - two pieces. I also have a matching table and chairs with removable rush (i think) seats. Pictures show the relief carvings, bun feet, etc. I found similar pieces online that were labeled as French country/pastoral or Renaissance -- I would love to know about the history of the furniture and what it might be worth.
