These end tables are round,solid wood,2 drawers, 4legs with a rounded wood floor seat, dark finish. I believe they were bought in Philadelphia in the 1920's.
Benjamin A. Watson, one of the early settlers in central Illinois (near Springfield), purchased the Perry Springs Resort (in Pike County, Il.) in 1859. The tea set displayed here was purchased for the resort during the time of his ownership.

This is a hand carved matching couch and chair, with angels carved across the back of both. It has red velvet apolstrey that is filled with down, and is all original. There are no cuts, stains, or tears, but there are some minor scratches on the arm rests.
